A dashboard cannot fix
the data behind it.

Most reporting projects fail before they start, because nobody checked whether the underlying records were complete. A beautiful chart built on duplicated rows is a confident wrong answer.

How we work

A Leeds consultancy, and you stay the controller

JAD Data Consultancy Services Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 14036610, incorporated in April 2022, with its registered office at Brookfield Court, Selby Road, Leeds LS25 1NB.

Where we handle personal data on your behalf you remain the data controller and we act as processor — which means a written agreement meeting Article 28 of the UK GDPR is signed before we are given any access, and we process only on your documented instructions. We ask for the smallest dataset that answers the question and work with extracts rather than production systems wherever possible. And we will not present derived figures as authoritative when the underlying records are incomplete: we report the limitation instead, because a confident wrong number is worse than an acknowledged gap.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most

Why audit the data before building anything?

Because most reporting problems are data problems. Two systems disagreeing, duplicated records, or a field used three different ways over five years — a dashboard cannot fix any of that, it just presents it more convincingly.

Do you need access to our live systems?

Preferably not. We ask for the smallest extract that answers the question, pseudonymised where the work allows, and read-only access where we do need it. Less data in our hands is better for both of us.

Who is responsible for the data protection side?

You are the controller; we act as processor under a written Article 28 agreement signed before any access. We process only on your instructions and keep nothing after the engagement beyond what that agreement permits.

Can you guarantee the numbers are right?

We can guarantee they are produced consistently and as specified. We cannot guarantee they are correct if the source records are incomplete or duplicated — and we will tell you that rather than letting a dashboard imply certainty.

Do we own what you build?

Yes. Models, queries, configuration and documentation transfer to you, and we would rather train your team than become a permanent dependency.

Why so few charts?

Because a dashboard with forty tiles gets ignored by week three. We build around the handful of decisions people actually make, and extend only when there is evidence something is missing.
